Aquaero 5 & Fan 1 RPM issue?

I've owned an AQ5 for awhile now but have only recently been playing with it on it's own. I've routinely hooked up fans to FAN1-4 and had no issues - as far as I recall. However, tonight when I powered on the unit I noticed that the fan on FAN1 was running but no RPM reading was reported. I tried the same fan in FAN2 and it showed an RPM reading. I also tested the same fan in two different PA2 and each reported an RPM reading.

I've flashed to firmware 1020, reset to RECOVERY MODE and flashed to 1021 again.

I just blew a good chunk of money on AQ5 accessories too. :\ Any ideas?
