When this problem occurs again: what happens when you remove the USB connection from the pump for a moment and connect it again? Is the value correct afterwards (might take a few seconds) or is it still gone?
The setup for the profiles of the farbwerk devices works a bit different. When you set up controller you have to select in which profile they should be active. I have marked the relevant part in this screenshot: [attach]7773[/attach]
If possible, try the update with a different PC. It would not not be the first time that a PC has a unstable USB connection that does not allow an update.

Der high flow 2 und LT arbeitet vom Tachosignal her wie ein Lüfter. Das geht nur per Umstecken oder du müsstest den Wert nochmal als Software-Sensor zuweisen und dann die entsprechende Software-Sensor Seite am aquaero ausgeben.

Bei einer Fahrradpumpe musst du ggf. aufpassen, dass du vor allem bei einem kleinen Volumen nicht schlagartig zu viel Druck aufbaust und das Manometer beschädigst.

Mal abgesehen vom USB kommt aus der Pumpe nichts raus, was du mit dem Mainboard verbinden könntest. Das genannte Kabel dient dazu die Pumpe per aquabus mit einem aquaero zu verbinden. Wenn du das ans Mainboard anschliessen würdest grillt es dir direkt die Steuerelektronik der Pumpe da dann 12V auf die Datenleitungen gehen.
Die virtuellen Software Sensoren und auch die Software Sensoren an sich sind - wie der Name vermuten lässt - eine Sofwarefunktion. Das funktioniert also nur in Windows. Unter Linux hat das Gerät keinerlei Zugriff auf diese Werte und nutzt dann den eingestellten Fallback-Wert. Normale Reglereinstellungen, die über einen am Gerät angeschlossenen Sensor gesteuert werden, laufen natürlich auch in Linux. Das verarbeitet das aquaero autonom und ist auf keine Software angewiesen.
Du hast wahrscheinlich das poweradjust in der Standard Version. Für die automatische Temperaturregelung brauchst du aber die Ultra Version. Schau mal im System-Reiter nach was da steht. Den Controller kannst du ggf. nachträglich upgraden.
Zuerst musst du den Ausgang deines virtuellen Software Sensor so einstellen, dass da am Ende Grad Celsius am Ende herauskommt. Das aquaero kann nur Temperaturen als Datenquelle für die Regler nutzen. Den virtuellen Software Sensor weist du als Datenquelle einem der Software Sensoren im Reiter Sensoren (aquaero) zu. Danach hast du den Wert auch als Datenquelle bei den Reglereinstellungen verfügbar.
Forget about USB. It has nothing to do with it. The pump can not use power from USB. The power (5V) comes from the SATA plug and keeps the controller unit alive. If you enable ErP and get a constant alarm it means that you also have some kind of voltage on the 12V line after the PC is shut down. The problem is the combination of your PSU and mainboard. Your PSU still provides 5V (regular power, not USB) when the PC is turned off. Usually this can be disabled with the EuP/ErP setting in the BIOS.
Ignore the aquabus low(speed) port. It has nothing to do with aquabus anymore. It was reprogrammed years ago to serve as a second flow sensor port (for 3-pin flow sensors). I also doubt that you have any aquabus lowspeed compatible devices. There were only two of them: tubemeter and multiswitch.
The available amount of controllers depends on the hardware that you use. In your case I assume we are speaking of the D5 NEXT? Its controller count was already increased with a firmware update a while ago. There is no chance to increase this any further. You have to keep in mind that besides these LED controllers the CPU (inside the pump) also has to handle all the other stuff that happens. Wenn du zwei unterschiedliche Netzteile verwendest und eine indirekte Verbindung über das USB-Kabel besteht, dann kommt es evtl. zu einem Potentialausgleich, der im schlimmsten Fall die Hardware beschädigen kann. Ich bin von diesen Einzelkomponenten-Netzteilen auch generell kein großer Freund. Deren Qualität ist oftmals gruselig und es wäre nicht das erste Mal, dass Geräte von uns so einem Netzteil zum Opfer fallen.

If there is a problem it can send an e-mail or post to a twitter account that you could use for a push notifications on your smartphone for example. There are also shut down features available.
