It should have nothing to do with the installed firmware on the device since the USB routines have not been changed at all from the initial release to the latest update. I have the aquaero 5 PRO and the Asus Crosshair V and I have the same USB problem. But only after a firmware update. Worked fine out of the box!!. The only way i can get my PC to start up is if i turn off legacy USB support in my bios.
