I contacted aquacomputer about this and they're sending me the new front panel assembly free of charge even though my unit is well out of warranty (I have one of the first batch). So major props to them and the great service.

Was there a solution for this? I bought mine when they came out but just got around to finally installing it and I have the sensitivity problem. I remember seeing a post by Shoggy saying they were working on a modification that users could easily do themselves but I never saw anything else about that (except that new faceplate which I am unsure this is what he was talking about). Does the new revision aquaero still have this problem? (the one with the slotted IR sensor)

Is it possible to turn on the computer using one of the programmable buttons on the aquaero? Can't seem to figure out how...
