Aquaero Compatibility and limitations

Mittwoch, 8. April 2009, 00:42

Hi,

I'm looking to purchase an Aquaero (VFD or OLED) but i have 8 fans. 3 on the Thermochill 120.3 Rad. 4 on the case (Silverstone TJ07 - 2 120mm on the top and 2, 92mm on the back) and 1 on the HDD Stack. Can i wire the Rad fans together, and also join the top 2 and the rear 2 so i only technically have 4 connections? i understand i need to stay below the Max Amp output.

Also i am looking at other Temp sennsors insteads of the film ones included. i want to try and install one under the CPU pins but im not sure if other makes of sensor are compatible. Is it just a case of calibrating them?

Many Thanks in advance!!

You can wire the fans together as long as you stay under 10 watts per channel and 30 watts total across all four channels. You will need to get the specs on the fans and calculate the wattage.

You can use any NTC 10K ohm sensors you can find and then use the calibration software to calibrate them. You will need your own temperature sources to do this however.

Makes sure you wire all the fans in parallel if you are connecting them to one header.
