Compatible GTX275 cards ?

Hey all.

I'm getting bits and bobs together for a watercooled system. I've already ordered the GTX275 block, and now plan to get the card to go with it.

I know the waterblock will work on cards with a reference design, but I've come across the MSI GTX 275. It's cooling solution isn't reference, but am not sure if the board is. Does anyone know if aquagraFX waterblock will fit on the MSI board ?

Hey lordvader.

In the manual of the MSI GFX 275 you can find a picture which shows the structure and the position of the parts.



If you compare this with the picture on the AC site for your cooler



you can see that they look very similar. I would say it is possible to install your cooler on this graphic card.

The cooling system is not build in the reference design, but the card is build in the reference design.

While we're at it, is there an ETA for these blocks ? The product page has "kurze Lieferzeit" in the text, not sure what that means (google translate says "short delivery") ?

"Kurze Lieferzeit" means that this product is not on stock. It is produced now and so it has a short delivery time of generally 1 week.

Well the block arrived yesterday (stunning !!!), but am having some trouble mounting it.

It seems that the IC beneath the RAM chips (circled) is slightly taller than the RAM, and is preventing proper contact with the lower few RAM chips.

Are there any suggestions or workarounds for this ? Does anyone else have a similar problem (the gtx260 seems to have the same IC ...)?
