Dead Aquaero 5 LT

I just bought my third Aquaero 5 LT and it seems to be doing exactly same as second one was doing originally, red led turns on instantly, computer doesn't recognize it as a usb device and fans are not running. I believe the second one was sent back to Aquacomputer by reseller and when it came back fixed I think I was told that it was lacking firmware. Could this be the same problem again and if it is can I do something myself or do I need to send this one also back to shop ? Last time that was easy because I bought it from Finland and shop took care of shipping but this third one I bought from Caseking.de and I don't know how their warranty system works.

You could try to do a full reset and flash the firmware yourself. Of course that will only work if the device has a boot loader, if that one is also missing you can only send it back.

1.) Turn off the PC and remove the standby power if you are using it.

2.) Remove all sensors from the aquaero.

3.) Place four jumpers on the temperature sensor connectors 5 to 8.

4.) Power on the system and wait a few seconds.

6.) Turn the PC off and remove the jumpers from the aquaero.

7.) Start the PC and use the latest aquasuite 2012 software to flash the firmware onto the aquaero.

8.) Turn off the PC, connect all sensors etc. again and start the PC.
