Compacting sql database aquasuite_db.database

Hi, my database file is over a gigabyte in size. This is causing aquasuite to crash and have performance problems. Deleting all log data did not seem to reduce it's size on disk, though it's performance did improve somewhat and stop the crashes.I also added a maximum of one month instead of unlimited data.
How can I compact it's size?

I am no software engineer by a long shot, but since your query has been here a couple of days, I will make a suggestion...
Close aquasuite and move the database in question.
Then restart aquasuite and see if it creates a new database.

If aquasuite doesn't like that, copy the old, emptied database back, and maybe that will compact it.
