Using quadro and HFN without direct connection

I sadly didn't know I had to order an extra cable to connect the flow sensor on the HFN to a quadro. So I'm wondering if both are connected with the included USB cable to the motherboard, will the software be able to read the temperature and flow from the HFN and then use those values to tell the quadro what to do?
If not, do I only need to order cable 53212, or do I also need another cable to transfer the TEMP values to the quadro? What other cable would I need for that? Or should I use an aquabus cable instead? :huh:
