aluminium Aquaero bezel

Hi all....
I just got my VFD Aquaero ;D
i also had previously bought an aluminium bezel for it.
what concerns me, are the markings on the aluminium (Aqua-Computer, Up, Down etc...)
they are hardly visible, and appear white.
i assumed that this was what they were like, but now i've got my aquaero, i can see that the stainless steel version of the bezel, has highly visible markings which appear black!
obviously they are two different metals, and as such react differently to the laser etching, but are all the aluminium ones like this, or have i got a dud?

The black bezels look the best with white color lettering
not on a silver lian li imho
edit: shoggy, how is that bezel attached to the aquaero? is it one of the standard lian li cdrom covers?
