Temperature sensor issue

Temperature sensor issue

Recently one my temperature sensors started having an issue.
I have a flow next after the radiator and a temperature sensor at the radiator inlet connected to the flow next external port.
A couple days ago the inlet temperature was reading cooler than the exit temperature.

both sensors appear the same at system start, but the external sensor is noisy & reads low (sensor_start.jpg)
I caught this jump at one point (sensor_jump1.jpg)
and this jump another time (sensor_jump2.jpg)

What is happening here?
Is this a continuity issue?

looks like it.
resistance decreases with temp rise on NTC thermistors. those dips of temp could show an intermittent contact inside, so do the noise.
could be a bad contact with the controller too, maybe try to clean the contact pins, or just unplug/.plug several times to rub the contacts, see if it changes anything (with power off)
