Aquasuite UI does not fill the window space available unless full screen

Mittwoch, 1. Oktober 2025, 01:48

Hi all,

First up apologies for embedding a massive screenshot but the forum was crashing when I tried to do this via file attachments even though it's under 5mb.

I've had an issue with Aquasuite for a long time now. It only renders correctly when set to full screen, when scaled to anything else it renders in a small portion of the window it's reserved and leaves the rest blank. I cannot scroll or do anything to see the content that isn't displayed.

Occasionally it resolves itself for a short period of time, a day or so, but most of the time it's like this after booting. I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling but nothing seems to resolve the issue permanently. Though once every few months or so it'll be fine. I believe it's also OK the few times I have dropped down to a 1080p display, so perhaps it doesn't like 4k?

Choosing exit from right clicking the taskbar icon and reopening it resolves the issue but is a little annoying.

This appears to be a driver error related to monitor scaling. Problems can sometimes occur when using desktop managers such as Nvidia Surround. We are unable to reproduce this issue, either with AMD or NVIDIA configurations.

Any software (such as OSD software) that hooks into the DirectX render path can cause this kind of problem.

I assume that it is triggered by some software/driver on your system.

Hi,
I'm not running anything particularly out of the ordinary settings or drivers wise. Standard NVidia drivers, no scaling UI scaling or anything, the only overlays enabled which could be hooking in are Microsoft/XBox game bar all the time. I'll have a fiddle and see if I can pin it down to a particular other program, it's odd though as this is the only software I experience this with.
That does give me a thought, most of the time I open Aquasuite's UI when I'm already playing a game. That should be pretty easy to reproduce, I should be able to find out if it's gamebar, steam, or Ubi etc. overlay related fairly easily.
