Aquaero Blue LCD problem, light\blank line accross LCD screen.

I've had this unit for a while and a line has developed across the LCD, its been there for quite a long time.
Reducing the contrast helps however its still clearly visible, should I dismantle the unit and check the contacts or will I need a new display?

Ive also managed to fix a broken push button with success, again dismantled and cleaned the springs and contacts. :)

Visible lines on the display are normally indicating that it is damaged. You can try to carefully push a bit on the front since it could also be a bad contact but it is unlikely that you will be able to fix this.

Changing the display is recommend.
