D5 Next combined with more than 2 amp/25 Watts. Help.

Sonntag, 27. Oktober 2024, 23:07

Hello,

I was hoping to find some help in regards to safely using my D5 Next/Ultitube.

I understand the D5 Next has a fan limit of 25 Watts / 2 Amps.

I am wanting to run 6 PWM Be Quiet Pro 4 fans from my radiators, but the fans combined are clearly over powered at .50Amps / 6 Watt Input - Each.

What are my options?

Can I use a Splitty 9 active connected to the D5 Next to give the fans more power? (Beyond the 25 watts / 2 amps limitation) Allowing the D5 Next to physically control all 6 fans.

I understand I could use a Quadro or Octo but that would be all controlled via Aquasuite only and not via the Next D5 physical panel.

I now realize a Flow Next alone connected to a Quadro would have been maybe a better solution, but I have already purchsed the D5 Next Ultitube.

Thanks for the help,

Shoggy

Get a SPLITTY9 ACTIVE in addition. It will solve your problem with the least amount of effort.

I think this is known, but just to be sure: All the fans you connect there receive the same PWM signal and therefore run at the same speed.

I appreciate the reply.

D5 Next Altitube + Splitty 9, to run all 6 .50amp PWM fans at the same RPM.

Sounds good as it will save me from buying a Quadro.

Cheers
