Is the high flow Next flow rate output compatible with the QUADRO?

I see that there is a difference in that the quadro expects a +5V on the middle pin, which is unused on the flow next signal output. Will this be an issue? I want to setup fan and pump control based on the coolant temp and flow rate without the need of software so I can use it whilst booted into linux.
