Diablo 2 startet nich??servicepack 2??

Ich habe diablo 2 installiert und dann LOD wenn ich jetzt eins von beiden starten will liest er von cd und dann kommt das bekannte fehler fenster von windows: Diablo 2 hat ein problem festgestellt und muss beendet werden.

habe windows xp mit servicepack 2, kann das sein das sp2 von windows meinen pc langsamer macht?und brauche ich sp2 wirklich??
