Oh allwissendes AC-Orakel ...

meine liebe Gattin hat mir eine interessante Frage/Aufgabe gestellt:
Kann ich auf dem iPod-Touch auch "meine Serien" gucken?

Nachdem das Zeug alles schon brav auf dem Server liegt, muß ich es eigentlich nur noch konvertieren...
Die Frage ist nur - wie bzw. womit?

In: (DVB-S, TS remuxed, aber diverse TimeCode-Fehler)
Video: MPeg-2, standard-PAL (720 x 576), 25fps, ca. 5.2 MBit/s
Audio: MPeg, Stereo, 192 kbit/s

Out: (IPod, *.m4v)
Video: H.264 - best quality, 30 fps, 640x480;
Audio: MPEG4 AAC LC 128 kbps,48000 Hz, Stereo
(Simple Profile)

Gibt's für obige Formate einen Converter?
Das Ding muss scriptable sein bzw. mit Kommandozeilen-Parametern laufen, weil das in die Aufnahme-Batch mit hinein soll/muss.

ffmpeg/mencoder ist genau das was du suchst. vlc kann das bestimmt auch, inkludiert ja ffmpeg.
