Damaged Aquaero 4 - Stays at main screen

Tuesday, November 15th 2011, 9:05am

My aquaero I think has been damaged by a faulty USB header on my motherboard, I've tried to revive it on another PC without luck.
Disconnected everything, the damn thing keeps rebooting and/or most of the time stays at the main screen.

Is there any way to force a flash of the firmware as the aqua suite says the version of the OS is 0 for the unit.

Ive also done the EEPROM reset without any luck.

The unit is very old probably 2004/2005 when ever the v4 was first released.

There is no way to force an OS update. You could try to play around with the old OS updater tool but I guess it will not let you flash the device again.

We can reprogram the CPU directly but in this case we would need the device here in our company and I guess with all the shipping costs it is not really worth it - especially if you keep in mind that maybe the device itself is faulty and can not be repaired.
