How to connect USB cable to Pump module compact 600 Standard?

Friday, March 21st 2014, 5:56pm

In the past i used alot AC wc parts into my pc. After manny years on air setup, I want to make a small loop again, with some old parts i still have from AC and some new.

I bought an Pump module compact 600 Standard (Eheim 600), and i wondering what the use is, of the USB connector on that pump? Can i put this pump standalone in Aqausuite so i can control the speed? The manual which i got with it, is ment for the Aqaustream XT and not the Pump module compact 600 Standard. Also, connecting the usb cable to that pump totally difference with my eheim 600 pump?

Do i need to connect it this way (1)

positive on right side

or this way (2)

positive on left side

And which aqausuite does this pump work with? Aquasuite 4 or Aqausuite 2014?

Hi,
postive on the right side is OK.
The pcb of the 600 module is the same then the XT, in all suite´s will be shown as XT- Modul not as 600er.
The Modul can work with all Aquasuites ( 4.72 and AS 2014 ).
To work with the Pump only you need is Molex and Usb and for Aquaero i think the Aquabusconektion.

Thanks, i will try 4.72 because i have an old Aquaero 4 which cant be connected to this pump, so i put them both on my mobo USB.

I'm pretty sure positive goes to pin 1. photo 2.

PIN 1 Vcc
2 D-
3 D+
4 signal/grd
5 grd

Yes, this is correct.
Its the same connection like aquastream xt.

7.3. Connector “USB”
This connector is used for USB communication to the PC and for power supply.
Connect to an internal USB header of your motherboard. Take special care to
make sure the pin alignment matches your motherboard!
Pin assignment:
Pin 1: not connected
Pin 2: GND(black)
Pin 3: D+ (green)
Pin 4: D- (white)
Pin 5: +5 V(red)
This is different to the connection to the most of the mainboards, in newer devices (MPS, aquaero 5 ...) we have changed the usb connection.
