Fill lvl sensor in Aqualis XT reservoir.

Somehow I've gotten the notion from somewhere that the fill-level sensor in the Aqualis XT range of resrvoirs is not functional unless the reservoir is coupled together with the direct-attach pump top.

Is this correct?

The fill sensors come in either the standalone reservoirs, so the pump used doesn't matter,
eg

or as part of the pump top

and the Aqualis base reservoirs must be used.
