Help for a noob Power Adjust Std vs ultra - will this work?

Monday, November 16th 2015, 11:40am

Hey Guys,

** Difference Between PowerAdjust Std & Ultra **

Hoping you can help me out.

Im looking at buying a Aquaero 5 LT and two PowerAdjusts to control two D5 pumps. I will also be purchasing a a couple of temp sensors, flow meter and inline temp sensor.

I note that from the PowerAdjust description it says the difference between the Std & Ultra is that the Ultra can regulate output depending on the temp sensor input.

Now im hoping that this is aimed at users who use a Poweradjust on its own and not with an Aquaero and that if one is using an aquaero, I just add the temp sensors to that and it will tell the power adjusts (via the aquabus cable) how to regulate the pumps/ouputs, therefore I only need the standard poweradjusts with this specific setup, is this correct?

Thanks guys! :)

you are correct. the only difference is the ultra has temperature control. this is only needed if you are using PA stand alone. if you are using a PA+aqauero+temp sensors, the standard will be able to do the same.

i run 2 pa2 std, aquaero 5 xt, 1 pump and 7 fans.

Aquaero - 7 Fans, Temp Sensors, Flow sensor
PA - Pump
PA - radiator fans
