OCTO connected fans behaviour under BOOT

Monday, August 16th 2021, 5:56pm

Hi guys.

I've had it with Asus' super poor software including their ASUS AI Suite for controlling fans, and finally ordered a OCTO fan controller for my newly build system.

My question is how the OCTO behaves under Windows BOOT? Does all fans go beserk on 100% fan speed (until Windows software is fully loaded), and if so - is it possible to control/change these speeds in order not to have a jetplane in my office every time i start up my computer?

Thanks.

Yes, the Octo will go at 100% at first startup. but you can install Aquasuite on a another pc/laptop an hook up the octo and "pre-program" it before you hook everything up in the destined pc. there is a setting called fallback power in Aquasuite, which is a failsafe level you can set for the fans.

hope that cleared up things for you:)

Hi Karsten.

Thanks for clarifying. I don’t mind it happening the first time
or two, so no need to modify on another computer, I just wanted to make sure there was a setting for fan speeds under BOOT so I don’t have to live with 100% forever. Once or twice In the process of setting things up is absolutely normal and fine :-).
