OCTO and Target temperature

I've built a new PC with an OCTO. I used to have the Aquaero 6 LT in my old system with a setpoint controller which worked well.

The OCTO with aquasuite 5.7 just wont work with a target temperature. The fans wont speed up until the target temperature is reached which, of course, leads to an overshoot.
Then there is a sine wave of fan speeds and delta-T. It never settles down.


Changing the preset response speeds or manually adjusting PID has absolutely no effect. The oscillations remain the same.

did a few tests, the thing answers correctly.
The fans accelerate to reach the set temperature then it stabilizes. changing the temp setpoint on the fly made it adjust pretty slowly without oscillation for me at least.
What sensor do you use for temp control?
