Doubts with controller speed in target temperature mode

Sunday, February 18th 2024, 11:52pm

Hi everyone, I have just finished my build and I'm starting to get used to Aquasuite software.
I have a doubt regarding target temperature mode of the fans, with the controller speed set in "user defined mode". It shows several options as you can see in the picture I've attached.
My problem is that I don't understand what are "Factor P", "Factor I", "Factor D", "Reset Time (D)" and "Hysteresis (in K)".
If someone can explain those options to me I would be so grateful.
Thanks in advance.

that's PID control, it's a tad advanced and most likely not necesary to start by the most complicated fan control option :P
it's a control method used a lot on industrial machines. Nerdy users may want to experiment with that sometimes, but it's rare anyone uses it.

You define those 3 factors so the systems responds to load without like brutal fan accelerations, or decelerating too soon after load, causing oscillations etc.

Thanks for the reply :)
