Any word on pre-order or release? It's been bit quiet on that front
Hello,
same question.
you've been talking about Ampinel for two months now.
When will it be released?
When will we be able to order it online?
Sebastian (Aquacomputer) posted an update in the German forum a few days ago.

"We are currently finalizing the firmware and the aquasuite.
Some features that were not included in the announcement have been implemented. We are currently slightly behind schedule."

Will you send out an email to the Shop's customers when it will be ready to order?

I hope Ampinel will be able to handle at least 720W of power. Otherwise, it would be useless for owners of an overclocked 5090 - and they’re exactly the ones who need Ampinel the most. By the way, recently we’ve finally got a VBIOS with an unlocked power limit for the 5090, so for many models you don’t even need to do a shunt mod anymore to overclock them.

And we haven’t even seen the 6090 yet, which may require even more power to fully unlock its potential. I’m also pretty sure NVIDIA won’t allow AIBs to use more than a single 12V-2x6 connector on RTX 60-series cards, so we’re stuck with it for a while. That means the only way to overclock flagship GPUs is to push more than 600W through that cable... and use a device like Ampinel as an additional safeguard.

56 A, 670W ist the absolute maximum power. The maximum power depends somewhat on the voltage. At higher voltages, more total power is possible with the current, and less at lower voltages.
Anything above this current always triggers an alarm.

Dear All, any news of shipping? This product is the holy grail for addressing 5090 connector anxiety :D

It's Jan 23rd, 2026 where I live and AMPINEL hasn't shown up here yet. :(

Just food for thought.

If delivery of a product is not guaranteed, just say soon. Don’t put any dates around it, ambiguous or otherwise.

Comparing the AMPINEL to the WIREVIEW PRO II

Thursday, January 29th 2026, 11:28am

As a longer term Aquaero/Aquasuite user, I'm looking forward to testing/comparing the AMPINEL to the WIREVIEW PRO II (which I've already got in hand).

@Shoggy
are gold contacts used in the connectors in the AMPINEL?

Looking for Update

Monday, February 2nd 2026, 4:45pm

Looking for any kind of update for the hardware? Were there QA issues and it was held back from a Mid Jan order estimation? Any kind of update would go a long ways with potential customers.

Sebastian recently posted an update on the German forum.

Neu: AMPINEL: Aktives Power-Management für Grafikkarten – sicher und intelligent
Google translate:
We had to make a few adjustments to the AMPINL in order to be able to cover a few more complex borderline cases. Sometimes a seemingly trivial problem turns into something more complex. Testing must be carried out after each change. Neither Roman nor its products have anything to do with the AMPINL delays. The speculations that keep cropping up here are simply nonsense.

Things like that happen, but it would be nice if we get any new release timeframe.

Thank you. 100% agree with QA on a product like this. I'm QA for a mission critical software and understand the importance. Releasing a quality product over just releasing is a huge win for anyone looking to purchase this once it is released.
