lcd Help

I have the 2 x 5 inch crystal display and when windows is booting it flashes and when windows is fully booted it stops flashing and goes dead. like there is no power. I have installed jalcd and thats it but the backlight has not even powered up. Am i doing something wrong??? + i am using xp64 so i dont know if there is a clash there or not?

Cheers and pls help with this as im peeved with it already!

did you select the correct adress of your lpt port

it should be com1 oder com2

i feel like such a fool. Well thankyou and setting this up is a pain in the ass as ive already got a few things wrong. Is there a manual for this in english and if not hey il just keep going till i get it right.

Thats not it but its random. I just cant seem to get anything to appear correctly on the screen.

Any 1 help me with this.

i think it has something to do with my serial port being to slow or too fast for the crystal screen?

Any one on this?

so what you just get the letters "jkdffsdjkfds.,.,$$$%///" on your display? :/ maybe you havn't configured it properly

no. i can use a programme called crystal control because in that software i can turn the serial speed down to 9600 but how do i do that with JALCD ???
