Pump Frequency change/ Flow calibration value

Sunday, July 30th 2006, 11:32pm

When you increase the Aquapump frequency from the default 49hz to 74hz, the coloured bar changes colour from Blue, through other colours to red.

In my line of work, Red is a bad colour to get on a gauge! so I was wondering, is it a bad thing to run these pumps at these frequencys.

What is likely to happen other than a very small increase in sound output?

Is the pump likely to overheat, or have a lower lifespan and fail suddenly. Is there any advice here as the manual is not too specific.

I dont intend to run the pump this hard but I did notice on your downloadable video that the pump there was running at 74Hz giving a flowrate of 33.19 l/h

Also with regards to the Flow Sensor section in the 'aquaero' section the manual says to use a calibration value of 550 imp/h, my software was set at 509 imp/h, which is correct?

Thanks again

509 is correct for the standard flow meter you can purchase here in the shop.
