Startup and control

OK, got most of the infomation I need now before I buy my AC cooling kit thanks to some great feedback by the people here.

My last question (I think) is ..................

I want to power up the WC loop before I power up the PC (to make sure it is running) and also be able to have an alarm in case the pump fails.

How would I do it and which parts of AC kit would you recommend?

You can use the aquastream.
The included power cable connector will give you the possibility to start your WC before you start your hardware. (just remember not to plug on any other hardware to your Power Unit before you have tested the WC.)

If you are using the Aquaero and a part called "Durchflusssensor" you will be able to get an alarm if the wather presure is too low. (-> pump is out of order)

P.S.
If you like to know a cheaper version, you can use a tempreture alert.

Yes, but it will not enable him to start the hardware too

That method is nice to (re)fill the system but I think he wants to start the pump at first every time.

My fault.

So Shoggy is right. The Aquastream- version would only provide a start as a kind of test after filling the WC. It is not really a good idea to do that every time you're starting your computer.

If you use the aquaero / flow sensor combination, you can configure the aquaero to switch off the computer immediately if the flow should stops. This is the safest solution.

Thanks for the replies.

Basically I want to start up the water cooling loop so that the flow is running, then turn on the PC itself.

The loop will consist of:

CPU - Cuplex XT Block
NB - XT Chipset Block
SB - XT Xhipset Block
GPU - AquagraFX 7900
2 x ASUS Mofset Coolers (Voltage Regulators)
Rad - XT240 Radiator
Pump - Dont Know yet - Suggestions???
Res - ????

Mhh, it doesn't really make any sense.

Let's say you have a aquaero and the flow sensor. If you start the PC, and the pump would not run or the flow is too low, the system would run less than 5 seconds and shuts off. These 5 seconds without any waterflow is absolutley no problem for the hardware - you will have more cooling power than a cooler with a working fan

I've hade my system running 3 times for about 30min without a pluged in pump.
-> Nothing happend and I get a tempreture shout-down.
