Aquero Fan Output..5W Max??

Friday, January 18th 2008, 2:21am

Hi Guys,
Just got my hands on an aquero vfd but was wondering is there any way I can up the max limit on the fan output control?
It seems crazy to have only 5 watts per fan channel!
For example a tripple rad with some led fans was 7.2w This mean I have to split my tripple into 2 fans on channel 1 and then another on channel 2?
Problem I have here is that I'm building a tripple SLI config system with quad core etc etc but have like 13 fans on multiple rads.
Surely I dont have to have two aqueros?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

There are 2 Types of the Aquaero, a new (4.00) and an old (3.XX) one.

For the new one, 10W per Channel and 30W for all Channels is the miximum. The old one has a Limit of 5W per Channel and a total Limit of 15W for all 4.

Hope I could help you.

Hi guys,

Quick resurrection of this post ;)

How will this work if I connect a second flow sensor to the aquero via fan channel 4?
I currently have
7.2 watts on channel 1 (3x 0.2a Fans)
9.6 watts on channel 2 (4x 0.2a Fans)
8.64 watts on channel 3 (2x 0.2a Fans + 2x 0.16a fans)

Total=25.44 Watts

There is a flow sensor on the flow sensor channel.
With these things running will it allow me to use another flow sensor on fan channel 4?

Thanks

The power consumption of the flow sensor is minimal, so it's no problem :)
