dumb question but...

noob alert but what do you plug into the motherboard cpu header if your controlling all fans and pump from the aquaero? as the mobo wont boot with no fan attached,

You go to bios and set all Auto controls for all mobo fan headers to disable. On Asus you need to do that in Monitoring section as well. May not have all the names right..because the naming changes based on motherboard.

The Aquaero (both 5 & 6) have an output labeled "RMP/Tacho". This output simulates the signal that a CPU Fan generates. So in your BIOS you enable the CPU Fan detection/alarm.


In the Aquaero you can select which items must be present for the RPM/Tacho signal to be generated. This means that you can monitor several things like CPU Temperature, Pump Speed, Fan Speed, Flow, or any other combinations of Aquaero inputs. The Aquaero can be programmed so that if any of these inputs fail, the RPM/Tacho signal stops.

There is also a function in the Aquaero to delay the monitoring (start the RPM/Tacho output upon power up) for a period of time to enable the system to stabilize.
