Aqua Suite/Aquaero/Tempature sensors

Thursday, March 13th 2014, 12:19am

Beside the 2 pin temp sensors you can attach I have 4 listings, "Fan amplifier1 thru 4" and "aquaero CPU". Are these temp sensors on the AQ6? The AQ6 processor and the 4 fan plugs? The AQ6 cpu reports around 38C but does nor feel that warm.

Hey madcratebuilder,

Yup, those are the temperatures of the Aquaero components. Amplifier temperature is the interesting one, because, depending on the load and type of cooling it may reach a point where the Aquaero goes into protection mode to reduce the temperature. On Aquaero 5 it speeds up all the fans on the channel to 100% (less load) and on Aquaero 6 I think it switches off the channel temporarily, but I am not sure.

CPU temperature is informative I guess... I have never seen it do something strange.

Kind regards,
Boris.

Thanks Boris.

My fan amp temps are always near ambient, aq cpu always near 35C.

Another question, the usb address assignment in the aq manual uses 50-54 as examples. Should I use a address in the 50's? I set up using 12 and 13 for the two D5's.

Cheers

mcb

ETA: I went in to setup and attempted to change usb addresses, I only have a choice of 12-15 so I guess I won't worry about it ;(

Yup, the address ranges are fixed. MPS devices can be assigned the 12-15 range as you discovered. Aquabus devices such as Poweradjusts can be assigned addresses in a 50-57 range.

You're good to go with your pumps at 12 & 13.

Kind regards,
Boris.
