Aquaero 5 LT - temperatures at low voltage

Wednesday, January 21st 2015, 9:11pm

Hiya all, i have small trouble... my Aquaero 5 LT hits 90+ C with 4xCorsair SP120 LED plugged in (in one 3pin port) on voltage 5-7V... at 12V temperatures are around 45. The funniest part is that on 4xCorsair SP120 nonLED plugged the same way, on every voltage (5,7,12V) temperatures are great...

nonLED fans have 0.09A (12V), LED have 0,26A at 12V. This mean i have to buy waterblock for it..?

Waterblock, or maybe this should be enough: Heat sink for aquaero 5

The more power the fans that are connected use, the more power the aq5 has to get rid of at lower voltages. That creates more heat.

The heat sink should be enough to bring temps under control unless you plan to use many more of the led fans.
