Aquaero 5 LT & External USB connection

Tuesday, June 30th 2015, 7:52pm

Hi folks

I am wondering if anybody can help.
I have a little project where I would like to actually communicate with the Aquaero 5 LT via USB from a laptop. On the Aqua Computer website there is an adaptor that looks like a plain old motherboard USB header to backplate USB out (USB Type A) and a USB Type > USB Type A adaptor.
It only costs €5 but they want €21 for shipping to Sweden.
Does anybody know if this really is just a standard USB header/backplate? Are there any non-standard cable pin-out mods that have been performed?
If it is then I already have a few of those lying around unused and can easily pick up a Type A > Type A cable.
(I already have USB Isolator and a spare ATX PSU kicking around for this project)

Of course, if anybody has already been down this road and has any tips or tricks or advice then your help is more than welcome.

Any help and advice much appreciated.

You can use this adapter kit.

It can be also shipped with a padded envelope for 5.00 Euro. In this case you have to order by e-mail because the webshop will always charge a parcel.

All cables follow the regular USB standards so there is no special pin layout etc.
