fan speeds by controller

Wednesday, July 22nd 2015, 6:20pm

Hi , I have an Aquaero 6 which I use to control 2 laing ddc's and an aquastream ultra I have 2 rads with 4 fans each in push pull and 4 temp sensors plus the one built into the aquastream the fans use a Y splitter I have tried to set up a fan curve to ramp up fan speeds with temperature and have tried using all the temp sensors plus the aquastream one as the data source, I want the fans to run at maximum speed once 40 degrees is reached and have used the auto setup to set the fan curve but it does'nt work I use occt to stress the system and bring the temps up but the fans do not respond at all, the fans are non pwm fans btw .

Could you post a screenshot of your controller setup?

Nice screenshot, except you excluded a point of interest, the"Source" to the left of the curve. :)

EDIT: a screenshot of the aquaero>fans tab would be useful also. (sample below)

I do´t see the Problem. By "Rear Rad outer" the spectrum is 46-89% Delta 43%
1% at the curve make 46+0,43%=46,43% at the fan
at start off your curve approximately 43% should it be 46+0,43*43=64,49% at the fan
At 95% 46+0,43*95=86,85% as it is in the first picture

What was the temperature reading of the sensor you use for the fan controller?

I see you have the "rear rad outer" fan set to go no slower than 46% and no faster than 89% of the power range.
The fan is running at 86%, so you are basically running the max as you have it set in the fan setup.

If you specify 46% min and 89% max in the fan setup, the fan controller can only work within that range.

Hi , you've solved it for me , I stuipidly ignored the fact that the fans are controlled by the controller lol, I had them turned down to minimise noise but have now set them except the hideously loud zalman reds to 100% and my curve is doing the rest , I sometimes cannot see the wood for the Trees and thank you both for your help.
