Red LED on Aquaero 6 Pro flashing

Friday, February 23rd 2018, 5:17pm

I just received my Aquaero 6 Pro and I updated the firmware. Have connected USB and power to the Aquaero. The red LED next to Aquabus Hight keeps blinking. I am using a Splitty9 and all the fans are performing ver erradicly, none of them are staying a consistent speed. They are the EK Vardar 2200 RPM PWM Fans.

Any help would be appreciated.

The red LED is normal, as for fans certain fans do not work properly with the AQ6. BeQuiet Silent Wings 3 PWM is one I know for sure don't work correctly(I have fully tested them). Not sure on EK fans make sure there running in the proper mode (PWM). If there having issues going have to switch to another mode to see if that works. If it's those new EVO fans then, It would be something to do with special Start-Stop feature they have. Not all fan headers support that function.

hmm ok, is there any way to overcome the Start-Stop function of the EK-Vardar EVO 120ER Black (2200rpm) https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-vardar-evo-120er-black ?

As I have 32 of them that I need to control with the Aquaro and a bunch of Splitty9's.

Without having them in front of me to actually test my self, I can't say for sure, It just might be one of the fans that just doesn't work correctly with AQ. Aqua-Computer had a big post about PWM fans and working with AQ over at OCN forums awhile back. At the time these fans were not released but SW3 were.

There just not allot reviews or info on them except for from users complaining about the noises they are creating. Which creating annoying noise and odd humming noises from the motor. I know the old fans did the same thing, I had a few of the old fans.

If you can it might be worth looking into returning them and getting different fans that work with AQ system.

I have fully tested Corsair ML Pro's and they work without issue with Splitty 9 and AQ6. SW3 do not work with AQ system due to there PWM.

Thank you for all you for all your help, unfortunately, there would be no way to return them, but I think I got them working ok now. Just needed to give it a bit more voltage to get it order the start stop function.

But If I do need to get new fans, ill look into those Corsairs :)

You could try something with resistors, I know someone got BeQuiet SW3 PWM working properly by adding resistors to the wiring. They used 1K resistors. That would be allot of soldering mind you.

More info on topic for Resistors: http://www.overclock.net/forum/61-water-…ml#post26775665

You could also try the adapter someone rigged up over at OCN. I believe he/she still sells it.

Have to send user a message not 100% on where the product page is for the item or you can just post message in the AQ thread.
