Flow sensor high flow rates

Saturday, March 10th 2018, 6:53pm

I want veryfai may flow. Im using https://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_inf…roducts_id=2294
and Aq D5 pump on test loop, 30cm lenght and 10mm Id. Just with flow sensor and pump max i hawe 520 l/h. On minimum pomp rpm (1800) was165 l/h. Its ok? ?(

520 l/h sounds unrealistic to me.

In a real loop of normal size you should get values between 150 - 200 l/h with that pump (full speed).

I think his a test loop consists of the D5 pump, the high-flow sensor, & about 30cm of 10mm ID tubing to loop it back... no real pressure drop.
I've never run a test like that, so no data.

This is normal flow.
Some time ago i built the same test loop - SC600 pump (less powerfull then D5), reservoir and MPS Flow 400. In this loop flowmeter shows me it's maximum at 400l/h all the time. There is no restriction in this loop and therefore we have that big flow.

Thanks for answer :D On normal loop just with CPU block and 2 radiators (480 ocool xflow) i hawe about 132 max but im modifai flow sensor and remowe insaid resctrictions (use 10mm drilbit :). 8)

Be aware that after such a modification the measured flow value won't be correct anymore because of the changed flow characteristics.

Yes, i now. But i dril one new holl and tap it ,one is driled to 10mm and one is oryginał with resctriction and is pluged. When i hawe som time i trai calibrate it.

Those results look pretty close to Fast Fates testing.

http://www.overclock.net/forum/22568401-post7.html

He got up to around 2GPM with a single pump. The minimum is harder to tell because he used a tap to lower flow rather than lowering pump speed but it seems perfectly reasonable.

My loop, A CPU, GPU, MPS400 and dual rad loop runs at 4,6Lpm / 275L/h max flow with a single D5 USB. Older blocks were much more restrictive but these days over 200L/h is pretty common
