What is the Calitetemp Temperature Sensor?

Tuesday, April 28th 2020, 4:08pm

Hi,

I have been absent for a couple of years having a BUILD with the 'normal' AQ in-line temp sensors.

Iv noticed the 'newer' CaliteTemp Temperature Inline Sensors which are much more expensive, although much more accurate.

Is there a product page from AQ anywhere announcing these with a little intro? What does the word 'CaliteTemp' mean? Why are they better, when were they announced?

In short, should I be buying a couple of these and replacing my existing sensors for my new build?

Secondly, the new RGBpx, same question, what is this new connectivity, is it specific to AQ, how does it differ from Farbwork? I am looking at lighting for new new rig, which should I use? / which is better, newer?

Note - I have a Aquaero 6 LT with soon to be Aquaero x4 on top.

TIA :) :)

Here is the Calitemp Announcement:
NEW: Digital temperature sensor calitemp and aquabus X4 hub

For the RGBpx:
RGBpx is used to connect adressable, 5V RGB Stripes or Fans to Devices from AQ and control them with the aquasuite software.
RGBpx is compatible with WS2812B LEDs.

The old Farbwerk is for 12V RGB LEDs, the new Farbwerk 360 is for adressable 5V LEDs.

Thank-you for the quick response Hufeisen and the clear explanation. +1

It looks like I would want to go for the Farbwerk 360 to add to my build for LEDs then. Its a shame it doesn't connect via aquabus to the Aquero 6 yet as I believe its only USB at the moment with the aquabus saved for future expansion.

Thanks. :)

The Aquabus connection does not have enough Bandwidth to control the Adressable LEDs.
An USB Connection is required for RGBpx.
