Feature Request for Playground: Slew Rate / Ramp limiter block with independent Rise and Fall rates

Sunday, October 11th 2026, 4:30pm

Hello Aquacomputer team and community,
I am using a D5 NEXT pump controlled by a Virtual Software Sensor based on my CPU temperature (Intel i9-14900KS). Since the CPU temperature spikes heavily under mixed workloads, I wanted to avoid erratic pump RPM and flow fluctuations.
My goal is to achieve an instant reaction to temperature increases (fast rise), a steady retention of the peak value (hold/flat top), and a very controlled, linear cooldown (slow fall, e.g., 3°C per second).
Currently, I have managed to build a workaround using a complex matrix of blocks (Peak, Max, Low pass filter, and Average). It creates the perfect "flat top" graph profile (see attached images of my Playground layout and High flow NEXT / Pump RPM charts).
However, fine-tuning the exact cooldown rate using Low pass or Average blocks is incredibly difficult and unintuitive.
Feature Request:
Could you please add a dedicated "Slew Rate" or "Ramp Limiter" block to the Playground tools?
Ideally, it should have:
  1. Rise Rate parameter (units per second / ms) — to allow instant target achievement on heating.
  2. Fall Rate parameter (units per second / ms) — to configure a smooth, linear descent of the virtual sensor value during cooldown.

This single block would drastically simplify complex automation layouts for many users who prefer controlling pumps/fans by CPU/GPU package temperatures rather than water temperature.
Thank you for your amazing hardware and software!
