Pumps harming Hard Drives

Monday, November 17th 2008, 5:07pm

Hello again,

i have another question for the water cooling gods.....

I know aquacomputer used to sell the FMJ for the aquasteam pumps, but it was discontinued as it was never proved that the pumps damaged hard drives.

in my case, i am thinking of mounting a hdd rack right next to my pump (aquastream xt ultra). I am wondering if this could harm hdds in that rack?

thanks in advance

Hi

The FMJ was discontinued because it wasnt confirm to the new RoHS standard. Seems like there was some Hexavalent chromium in it ...
And yes, i have never heard about damaged hard drives too.

So, i would say... give it a go!

Sorry das ich anstaat ein h ein n geschriben habe !!!
