Aquero max wats per channel?

Thursday, August 25th 2005, 8:09am

The manual says that the max watts per channel with the Aquero version 3 hardware is 5W. Based on that, I have two questions:

1 – Would I damage the Aquero by using a fan rated at 5.62W?
2 – Does the version 4 Aquero hardware support more than 5W/Channel?

TIA for the help.  :)

Hi,

the Rev. 4 supports up to 10 W per channel.

V4 has analog output instead of PWM for the fans.

How do you know you don't have rev 4 hardware?

A V4 looks like this. Note the transformers below the fan connectors and the new mounting plates with screw threads.

That is why mine was getting hot when using the Panaflo fans.
