SATA auf IDE Adapter

Hallo,

ich habe hier noch ein Elitegroup K7S5A und ein 750MHz Athlon CPU. Ich wollte den Rechner für meine Mutter zusammen bauen und wollte eine SATA Platte einbauen da ich nur SATA Platten hier habe. Da aber das Board kein SATA unterstützt hab ich mir gedacht nehm ich mir ein SATA auf IDE Adapter und stecke es auf das Board und schließe die SATA Platte daran an. Meine Frage geht das überhaupt mit dem Adapter oder ist es nur andersrum gedacht also dass man nur IDE Platten an SATA Controller anschließen kann??
