Advice, aquagratix for X1800 XT

Sunday, January 15th 2006, 3:48am

So I purchased an x1800Xt and want to set up a cooling solution using "aquagratix for X1800 XT", I'm completely new to this (I honestly don't know anything) so can someone give me the full run down of what extra components I need and maybe some links to figure this out, thanks.

I know usually people that mod and OC know what they are doing, but I believe with some good advice I can get the job done. :D

Yes it seems I need every item and the links, I'm only looking to cool my graphics card because the stock fan cooler is way too loud.

but my CPU is AMD Athlon 64 3800 s939, mobo is Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 [nforce4 4X/AMD-S939/DDR400/PCI Ex16/SATA/G-LAN]. If you needed that.

I don't know about the case, it's pretty standard, has two fan mounts at the back, one for the power supply and just an extra fan, and a vent on the side for the cpu, and just a few smaller vents here and there. I'm guessing I'll need a new case too?

Hmmm this is mine so from here look at the top and bottom especially

But can you take a pic of your case from the top (Where radiator and resevoir can go "!but res can go in front!") and from the fan mounts you suggested and from there wel see YA. ::)

But if you do decide to get a new case then just think $$$ going up....

I'm pretty sure I need the radiator to be external to the case, The reservoir would need to be mounted at the front.

So I need one "aquastream pump", one "aquagratix for X1800 XT", one " airplex evo 360" and one "aquatube".

I'm not clear on the size of hose I need, but I would mount the pump on the side of the case opposite the motherboard. Am I missing anything here?

I can take a picture when I get access to my case next, I suppose it would be difficult for you to advise how the tubing would fit without seeing my case first.

You're right, I'll get the smaller radiator ;D

I see you have alot of connectors on your hose to make tight bends, do you just plug the hose right in or do you need something else to seal it?

This is what I want to do: The radiator, pump and reservoir are mounted at the top of the PC case on the outside

So how many fittings and connectors do I need to buy? Any advice on this setup?
???

The mount for the radiator to go on the top will send the flow into the case as they are straight connecters so you will be better off having the pump inside the case...

Umm and the resevoir also mounted at the top like this

Is this what you want...

This would make your setup much easier.

If this is a yes then i will sort you an order out.

What case do you have i wll google it and work it out from there. ::)

;D

No No, The pump, radiator and reservoir are sitting completely outside the PC case on the very top. Not like your computer where it's half out and half in.

I know that's unusual but I like unusual, and my case won't fit the pump and radiator on the inside.
:-/

I can get pic very soon, sorry for the wait.
