new: aquagrafx 7950GX2

Tuesday, June 27th 2006, 5:18pm

The new aquagrafx 7950GX2 can be ordered now. It's already produced and is currently in the anodizing and engraving process. The block should go into shipment at the end of this week.

The aquagrafx 7950GX2 cools the GPU of both blocks with its dynamic spring mounted core for an optimal heat transfer. The block also cools the RAM, PCIe-switch and the voltage regulators. A thermal pad for the regulators is provided with the block.

After assembly both blocks will be connected via a bridge. It's easy to handle and the o-ring seals ensure that everything is leakproof. The water flows consecutively through both blocks.

The second block (not visible in the picture) is larger and cools the PCIe-switch too.

Price for the aquagrafx 7950GX2 is 119 Euro.

Here is a first picture of a block which hasn't been anodized and graven yet:

And that's how it will look when it is finished:

G stands for the german word "Gewinde" (means screw thread).

outer diameter = 9,73mm
Core diameter = 8,57mm

The "G" stands for Whitworth pipe thread. It is a thread-type like M for metric.
