New: cuplex pro revision 3

Wednesday, February 7th 2007, 8:25pm

As of now the cuplex pro becomes delivered in the revision 3. The further development takes into account the requirements of the new Dual and Quad core CPUs with far bigger cores respectively two cores.

Moreover, the new revision of the cuplex pro is produced in an improved vacuum instep method. At conventional instep methods the cooler is deformed by spreading out. Through this the cooling surface does not get flat optimally since the cooler deforms back when easing again.
Because of this our blocks are drawn in at the production in special forms with below atmospheric pressure since a long time. This ensures that the block does not deform after the removal from the CN-machine. By specific changes to the molds we were able to further improve this procedure.
As a side effect it comes to less vibrations at the processing which makes it possible to achieve an improved surface.

Here some photos:

Announcement: At present, we are working on a cooler for the X1950 PRO AGP and PCIe. It will be available at the end of the month.

Nice!! Can it out-perform the cuplex xt?

And will the Cuplex XT also get a core upgrade?

It just performs better on Quad Core CPUs. We are developing the cuplex XT QUAD. But this will be a completly different waterblock to the known XT. If we decide to produce the XT QUAD it will be an extension of our product range and not a new revision of the standard XT.

Sounds very intresting!

Would the Cuplex or Cuplex XT be the best to use on Quad core systems?

Like stephan said. The Cuplex XT Quad is designed for quad cores. Cuplex and Cuplex XT for single / dual cores :)
