fan speed problem with aquastream xt upgrade

Monday, June 29th 2009, 10:30am

Goodmorning you all,

I just installed the aquastream xt ultra upgrade kit and almost all works fine.
My previous setup used the Innovatek Fan-o-matic micro to control my fans (2 x papst 120 mm).
When the controller pushed the fans to full speed, you could hear and feel a good breese through the radiator.

Now with the xt ultra, all the control is in the hands of the pump electronics.
The problem I have is with my fan speed.
Although the software indicates that my fans should work at full speed (12V, 100%), the actual speed is around 50%.
the water temperature rises above 35 degrees, before with my old controller, it leveled out on 33-34 degrees.
I use 2 papst fans parallel with one connector to the pump, i didn't change anything to the fans (except for extending the leads to reach the pump).

Can anyone help me to start troubleshooting?
Is this maybe a setting in the software that I missed?

Problem solved
took a vacuum cleaner and pulled out a carpet of dust out of my rad.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions. ;)
