Tubing colours

Sunday, June 10th 2007, 4:10pm

There's 2 UV active types of tubing available from AC.

There's clear, UV blue.
And clear, UV.

I'd like to know what colour the clear, UV turns when UV light is on it.

Also, do you sell any clear non-UV tubing? I'll be using UV dye in my water so there isn't a need for it.

Parts are 61011 and 61003.

Hi,
there are colored tubings, that aren't UV-activ.

And: the clear, UV has only a very slight effect.
If you do add a colored reagent to your water - such as GlowMotion - it won't be visible.
If you do use destilated water and ACFluid so that you do have the natural clear of the water, you will, however, notice a slight blue effect of the tubing. (But its nothing compared to the blue UV-tubing.)

Get the "active blue" tube if you want to have a blue color.
It has a nice shiny blue at day and night.
And the best thing: it lasts very long while the blue UV additives lose their luminosity by and by.

AC does not sell any clear plug & cool tubing which is not UV reactive.

Right. I don't want UV blue though.

I'm wondering what colour the other type is.

From memory, when I first watercooled my PC I think I ordered "normal" tubing and it was UV blue as well.

Edit : Missed the second post.

Alright, seems this isn't the tubing I'm looking for and I'll need to find some clear tubing from somewhere.

Thanks!

If you're absolutely sure about that then that'll be fine.

I can get clear tubing in the UK. However, it costs around 3 times what the AC stuff is, and I'd rather use the AC stuff.

I don't suppose you know of any pictures of the green glowmotion using AC tubing?

Aha. It's more sort of lit up, than blue. Sort of.

Difficult to describe. That picture should go on the shop site though, I can't be the only person confused.

Anyway, I've just placed my order, I very much appreciate the help you've given me Shoggy. I know you don't work for AquaComputer directly (you're involved somewhere though), but you do a good job for em!
