Loop advice please

Thursday, April 21st 2011, 12:15am

Hi all,

Would like to put my new i5 2500k and 2 ATI 6950's under water. Am not looking for massive overclocks on any of it, although a small speed bump would be nice on the CPU.

I am after silence more than anything, so would like to know if I could get away with cooling all this on a single loop, either with a triple or quad 120 rad.

Thanks all!

Shoggy

To get a silent system you will need a large radiator to make sure that the fans can operate at a moderate speed and produce enough cooling power.

A triple radiator will have enough cooling performance but only with some fast fans which means more noise. I think you should go with the quad-radiator if possible.
