When you buy from AC Berlin do you pay VAT if they are shipping outside the EU?

EDIT:

I got a note from Stephan at AC Berlin and no VAT taxes if you live outside the EU. That about 20% off the prices as normally seen in the web shop as it usually shows the VAT price included.

I kept wondering why there was such a price difference [downward] between the price listed in the store and the final price listed on an order from the USA as it was being processed.

Now I know the reason why.

Sure .. no VAT as i don´t have to pay VAT when shipping outside EU .. Same for e.g. Switzerland.
