Aquacomputer Airplex Modularity & counter-sunk threads?

If the threads are counter-sunk (as opposed to raised) how is one suppose to connect fittings to this radiator? For example, how would one connect Koolance QDC fittings to such a radiator? What about BP compression fittings?

the two options I know of are:

buy fittings that fit.

buy extension fittings.
