New: Digmesa sensor with a 5.6 mm nozzle

mardi 11 septembre 2007, 22:36

We can offer a revised flow sensor in cooperation with Digmesa as of now. This has a modified nozzle with 5.6 mm instead of 3.3 mm. The duct of the sensor is almost identical with that of the tube diameter.

The calibrating value amounts to 256 implulses/l.

The sensor is already in large quantities at the store and the price is identical to the variant with a 3.3 mm nozzle.

That's great, Shoggy, I might get one (or two) now that there's so much less restriction.

Speaking of that, has AC done any tests to see exactly how much less restrictive it is or how much it can increase flow rate?

I did mod my old flowmeter, to these dimentions, and experienced that my flow increased 20%, in a very restrictive system (cpu, mosfet, gpu, nb, 2xram, sb, flowmeter, 2xhdd), using an Aquastream pump ;D

With my use of another brand flow meter, it caused my flow to increase from 80 LPM to about 158 LPM. Roughly a 100% increase in flow.

However, it only made about a 1.5 C difference in system water temps and didn't change my ability to OC my computer hardware at all. I am using a Cuplex XT, two (2) TwinOlex Pro's, and one Asus mosfet block.
